Yes it goes backwards when you open the roof completly, and it only flips up when you tilt the roof in the back.

I have my original "stahlschiebedach" in my basement if you want i can take some pictures of how it looks when the roof is completly open.

Don´t think so becuse this one was orignally sold in Germany and then imported to Sweden in 2000 or 2001.
