No, the S6PLUS block is complete diffrent to the normal S6 block. The block of the first S8 (AKH-engine, 340hp) is nearly the same, but the fix-points to the chassis are diffrent.
That´s the reason, why you can use only the AHK-block and no other block...
Ok, so I guess the AHK engine is a lot more durable than the normal S6 engine?
A tuner I spoke to about supercharging the eninge said that the S6 engine is not strong enough to be reliable with a supercharger. But he didn't know I had a plus... Would be really fun with 480-500 hp and 600nm
At MTM in Germany you can buy a biturbo-kit (420PS) and a supercharger-kit (450PS) for ower cars. Untill now they have produced about 15 cars. MTM won´t do that, if they have problems with the block...
As I remember the price for this tuning is about EUR 20.000 to EUR 25.000. It makes nearly no difference, if you would like the supercharger or the biturbo-version...
As I wrote above it´s similar to the first S8-engine (AKH, 340hp). This engine had only 4 valves as well, only the newer (1999) S8 with 360hp has the engine with 5 valves.
That´s right, up to now MTM never had produced a supercharged S6PLUS. But the AKH-enigine is so similar to the AHK-engine, that this would work with out any problems.
That's a problem. Even the Audi-dealers didn't have those information! If you need spare-parts for the AHK-engine, you are only able to order complete groups of pre-assembled parts.
Nobody at the official dealers will check the problem anymore, if something break down inside the engine. They are only allowed to change those groups...
